FAQ
Where are your classes held?
We are a “roving” fiber arts school, meaning that we have no permanent location. We teach at a variety of shops, cafes, private homes and studios in the Hudson Valley/Catskills region of New York state. We are always looking for new venues so please let us know if you have a space where you think we should offer a class. Private and small group lessons can be arranged at your home, office, or hangout!
Do you offer private lessons?
Why yes we do! We welcome the opportunity to arrange a private lesson with you. You can also create your own class with your friends, and work on a project of your choosing. We can come to your place or find another mutually convenient location. Private group classes are a great way to celebrate occasions like birthdays, or wedding or baby showers, and the project (in addition to the experience) can become the gift! Please contact us to discuss rates and options…
Can I suggest a class?
Please do! We strive to offer an assortment of subjects and skill levels, and we’d love to hear what YOU would like to learn.
If you have a general question, please leave it in the comment box below! Or, send an e-mail to classes@doubleknotstudio.com and we will get back to you promptly.

I am interested in learning how to sew, mainly understanding a pattern from start to finish, measurements, etc. I do sew a bit but would love to learn how to sew clothes, curtains, etc.
Thank you in advance.
