Cozy Double Knit Cowl
Double Knitting is a great technique that creates a cozy, double sided, reversible fabric with stockinette stitch on both sides.  In class we will work on a swatch to get the basics of the technique down and then cast on to make a cozy & relatively quick to knit cowl.  Once you try double knitting, you’ll be hooked, finally a way to create colorful scarves with no “floats” or wrong side of the fabric.  We’ll also be kitchener stitching the two sides together to finish up so it is a perfect refresher for those not so comfortable with that technique.

Materials needed:
Stitch markers
#5 US circular 16″ needle – or a 16″ circular 2 sizes smaller than you would normally use for worsted weight
tapestry needle
1 solid color worsted weight yarn ~200yds
1 multicolor worsted weight yarn ~200yds

the multicolor should contrast the solid and have none of the solid color in it for best results

Optional kits including Jill Draper Makes Stuff yarn will be available
