You really can make your own sewing patterns! Learn how to draft a pattern using your own measurements for a simple button-down shirt with a collar and cuffs. From this basic style, you can go on to create all kinds of woven shirt and blouse patterns! Note: We will not be sewing in this class, but some sewing experience is helpful to get the most out of the information. Bring lunch or snack.

Supplies:

At least 4 sheets of 18 x 24″ paper, or a roll at least 12″ wide (newsprint or drawing paper)

Pencil, sharpener and eraser

See-through 18″ ruler

Tape measure

Scissors (for cutting paper)

Clear tape
